How do I take care of my lawnmower?
- Remove any grass or soil residue from the mower – this means cleaning the blades, the rollers, and if you have a grass box. Apply some grease to keep your blades and rollers moving too.
- Make sure you remember to disconnect the sparkplug lead if you are not using your mower - especially before you store it for winter.
- In order to protect the engine of the mower, clean dust, grass and whatever else may be stuck in your air filters.
- Always keep an eye on the oil level in your mower, it can cause serious damage if you run the mower with insufficient oil, burning out the engine.
- Always get your blades sharpened professionally, except with electric mowers which can be sharpened with a metal file.
